Today I had the whole evening to myself since Silvia went to Singapore to accompany a trumpeter for her NUS audition. I was actually looking forward to it cause I love spending time at bookstores reading magazines and those really expensive, hard-to-get books for free! So who still goes to the library nowadays? ;)
Well, we'll be always spoilt for choice when we're at Borders! After browsing through the football magazines, I decided not to read something that was not related to music. So I, being a dummy, picked up 'World War II for Dummies'. Being a slow reader, I managed to read quite a fair bit during my 3 hours stay there. Updated my -must-learn-to-play songlist from 'Pop/Rock Piano Hits for Dummies'. And noticed that Dummies series cover a very wide range of books!

Here's a view from my spot at Starbuck's Coffee. Costed me RM15 for that cozy little seat! :P

Here's roughly the same shots some time later. The 'impressionist' in me. :)

The book I'm currently reading is 'Your Best Life Now' by Joel Osteen. Never realised there were so many different 'versions' of it.

Then here's my favourite author - Max Lucado! He's the man!

Saw Silvia's favourite kind of book. Wanted to get her this, even brought it to the counter with the 20% discount voucher that I picked up from a bench. But thank God I didn't, cause when I got back, I noticed there was a 3 in 1 packet which costs much cheaper! Isn't God amazing! :)

These are 2 other bargain books which I would like to get my hands on. Both are hard cover and they just cost RM31.90 a piece. A cup of Starbuck's coffee and 'The Ultimate Picture Puzzle' books wiped my wallet clean. I was left with a RM1 note and a few coins!

I can only conclude that a visit to the bookstore is time and money well spent!
