Horton hears a WHO!

It's movie day today. I'm making full use of my student card before it expires. Went to Leisure Mall in Cheras, very nearby and it's cheaper by RM1 compared to MidValley. And it's the big screen with very few people in the cinema so we've got to sit the couple seat. Very spacious and enough room for your legs.

The Spiderwick Chronicles was not showing in GSC Leisure Mall so we watched Dr Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! I grew up with Dr Seuss' books, those who read his books would know The Cat in The Hat or maybe One Fish, Two Fish, Black Fish, Blue Fish. And if I'm not mistaken, He wrote The Grinch Who Stole Christmas too. His books are full of rhyme and it's a different kind of Mother Goose.

Well, I wouldn't summarize the movie here for two simple reasons. I may spoil the movie for those who'll want to watch, and I'm just too lazy. :)

But like most stories about animals (Aesop's fables...), there's a moral behind this story too. It's tagline - A person's a person no matter how small! In this world we live in, we often see how 'weaker, younger, smaller or lower-ranked' people are being neglected. I believe through our current election, we see the power of a voice, a vote. So I shall often remind myself, no matter how high have I climbed up the ladder in my career, how much responsibility is delegated upon in church, how famous I might become, I need to listen more! There's a reason to why God create us with two ears. ;)
