Watched The Expendables at Pavillion last night. A guy movie. you can tell from the cast. :)

Talk about Pavillion. Not a place for me to go. Parking itself cost RM8. A movie ticket RM13 on a Friday night. You can call me stingy. But I can't afford that lifestyle yet. :(

Anyways. Had a yam cha session that might as well change my lifestyle. Change the way I manage time. Change the way I do things. And most importantly. Change the way I practice piano. I'm the happy-go-lucky type. So far it has been great. But on the other hand I'm always content with life. Need to strive for better. I surely hope I'm better the next time I post.

Jonathan's mom gave me a lovely homemade banana cake filled with chocolate chips inside. Yummylicious! As you can see I couldn't wait till I got home, was eating while I was driving.

Farmville's slow. Fishville is turning out alright, prefer underwater world. Thank God Silvia wants to get her diving license because the sharks in Malaysian waters quite small. ;p

Received a lovely belated Christmas gift from my student.

Oh, on my way to work, tuned to my usual radio station - Hitz FM for the Morning Breakfast Show with JJ and Ean. Ever wondered why recently there has been posts about colours, i.e. Mary white, Jane black? According to them, it's the colour of the undergarments that they're wearing in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign! Feeling a bit more educated? ;) Thanks JJ and Ean for letting me in on this.

life's SHORT

If you were ever given a chance to describe your perfect day and maybe some agency would have it fulfilled, how would your day be like? For me, at this current moment of blogging this entry, it's just such a wonderful feeling I'm experiencing now.

It's been some time since I've gotten to spend the day with my brother, Calvin, and today was just great. He even taught me how to hyper link! As we all know, time can't be turned, but deep down I've often missed the times when we were young as stayed together as a family. Of course there would have been quarrels and fights, but if you were to just ask around, almost all would miss their childhood days with their siblings.

I'm about to start a new chapter in life. In just a few hours I would put the pen to paper, and begin my very first full time job being an assistant teacher. I've been through roughly a third of my life and God has really been great! I've been really blessed to the extent of having the ability to bless.

Looking ahead, there's still plenty to look for in life. It's about time to make a mark in another's life, to leave behind a legacy. Something worth pondering about - it's better to regret what you have done than what you haven't.

life INVESTMENTS

Remember the parable of the talents? A master gave 3 servants talents while he took a trip. When he came back he was pleased with his servants that invested in the talents. He was unhappy with the other servant who decided to bury it in the ground.

I don't know why, but this parable has often spoke to me regarding matters about money. It may also be because this is what most preachers preach about. I'm often encouraged to 'invest' through offering challenges, building funds, mission funds, and others. Of course tithing is not included as it is the small part of what belongs to God that He wants it back from us. But as of offering, I'd rather see it as an act of thanksgiving towards our Father in heaven. Not so much as something that you can 'invest' into and 'expect' a miracle. There's a question for you to think about. Does the level of our faith determine the level of how God works?

Though what I received today is not something new, but its a timely reminder. Each of us have some gifts and abilities. Some of us have more, some not so. I believe that we need not have a special gift that stands out from the rest, but we need to have a special attitude that makes our simple ability a highlight in heaven. I have always believed that it is not the action of burying the money by the servant that angered the master caused the master himself even suggested it. God gave us a sound mind to become good stewards and plan for the future and I believe saving is one of the means. The problem arose from the servant's attitude. I believe the master knows his servants well, and he knew he was a lazy person providing excuses all the time. Was the master trying to test his servants? Doesn't he himself not know of a better way to invest his own money?

Our lives is also a test was God being our master. Which servant will we be? The 1 given with 5 talents? Much has been given, much will be expected from. The 1 given with 2 talents? Though not given as much yet quietly assumed his task. Or the 1 who has been given 1 talent and had it taken away from him afterwards?

So what does treachery mean?

According to www.dictionary.com it means violation of faith; betrayal of trust; treason. I also looked it up in my trusted Oxford Learner's Pocket Dictionary, it means disloyal or deceitful.

March 15 was the day when Julius Caesar was assassinated by his trusted friends in the Roman senate. This day changed the course of history. We can all trace this similar plot back to Genesis when Abel was murdered by Cain.

As I think of these events that happened in the past, I was trying to relate it to our modern day society. We might not kill nor steal, but what we do is we always go against our words. We miss appointments, break promises, and maybe manipulate a person for our own advantage.

What I try to do for a change is be brave enough to admit that I can't do something, or I can't make it for an event. And hopefully, when I can change myself, I'll make a difference in this world. :)
