Creative.

Imitative.

Which comes first? Are they connected to each other?

Me and my brother was discussing about productions that were copied entirely. I questioned about the creativeness of the people available. He answered that a perosn mentioned that you have to start of copying first, then only become creative later. I beg to differ. Creativity does not start with imitation, it starts from limitations.

When does one uses their creativity? It is when resources are limited. You had to make do with what you have to achieve your desired results or something similar. Of course by copying you add different ideas and concepts to refer to, but try to avoid this cause it'll just rob your brain a chance to think and work. And I believe you'll need creativity in everything else as much as you need it in the arts.

I'd better start using this thing in my head lest it gets rusty!
