BABY hamsters

If you've seen my previous blogs you'll know that my hamster gave birth to a few babies. Well, after looking at them and taking snapshots of them, the mother decided to eat them up. And of course Silvia was sad.

Well, here's the good news. While we were in Sabah, another gave birth to 3 babies. We were very careful in not to touch or see them. They just opened their eyes a few days ago and now they're running around! :)

Here's some snapshots for you to see.

This was taken on the 6th. A week ago when they were a little more than a week old.



These were taken today when we cleaned the cage. There's 2 more inside the 'house'. :) Notice the difference in size.



By the way, I've 2 friends who also have hamsters of their own. Interestingly, their's were found in front of their house, instead of being bought.

And now we have 5 hamsters in all, 3 kids and 2 adults left as 1 was found dead last week. We guess that it was due to fighting amongst each other. Sadly, the 1 dead was the male, leaving 2 'widows' behind. I should name them Naomi and Ruth.
